I am delighted to have been asked to speak at the Taan Worldwide global conference in Stockholm in Feb. Taan is one of the oldest and largest global networks of independent agencies.
The topic of my talk is 'Why marketing is the new selling in agency new business'. This is a topic that I am very passionate about.
A recent video from an event from The Agency Collective hosted makes the central point of my talk well. In it a number of agency founders were asked "what are your tips on hiring business development people?". Their response? "Don't, instead, flip it. Think about the new business team as a marketing team". By doing this, they all saw much better results.
